Most weekends Joey Ladouceur is content with just one race night a week, running every Sunday night at the Cornwall Motor Speedway, but as the summer heats up, so does the racing action, as Ladouceur and his race team had a pair of events scheduled this past weekend, including a Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series on Friday night at the Mohawk Raceway.
Ladouceur won the first race of the Mohawk Race Parts Series at Cornwall Motor Speedway a couple weeks earlier and was looking to make it two in a row on Friday night at the Mohawk Raceway. Ladouceur started from the tenth position in the caution-filled 50 lap Pro Stock Series race, and worked his way through the field as soon as the green flag was displayed. By lap 10, he was into the top five, and just a handful of laps later he was up to third. A restart on lap 20 was just what Ladouceur needed, as he

powered to the lead. Ladouceur held the lead for much of the event, only losing it briefly after a lap 30 restart where the second place car got a good jump on the green flag. He regained the lead just a couple of laps later and never looked back.
“The car was really good tonight. We lost the lead there once when the 18 car got a good jump on the restart but we were able to battle back for the win”, said Ladouceur from victory lane. “I just want to thank all of our sponsors, the crew and my family for all of their support”.
It was a tough night for the Ladouceur team on Sunday night at Cornwall. Joey started his heat race from the sixth position, and couldn't make up any ground at all. While pushing it just a little to hard on the final lap, Ladouceur's car drifted up the track and tagged the concrete barrier in turn four, causing extensive damage to Ladouceur's Pro Stock. While most teams would have been done for the night with such hard contact with the wall, the Ladouceur team went to work, welding the rear suspension, and by feature time, they had the car ready to go. Ladouceur started the feature from the 11th position, and gradually worked his way forward. Ladouceur was up to as high as sixth at one point before settling for seventh at the finish.
“We really messed up the car after the heat race. The crew did a great job fixing it up, and the car was actually pretty good for the feature. The way the track conditions were though, it was just so hard to pass”, commented Ladouceur after the race.
Ladouceur will be back on the track this Sunday at the Cornwall Motor Speedway in his Coffrage 20-20 Racing, Mr. Radiator Auto Service, Fence Depot, Fastline Performance, Glengarry Truck Centre. Minimax Transportation, and PM Promotions, Stinger X Chassis. The Mohawk Race Parts Series resumes August 6th at Autodrome Granby, and August 7th at Autodrome Drummond. The final race of the Series is September 5th at the Cornwall Motor Speedway. The next Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock tour race is Saturday, August 21st back at the Mohawk Raceway.

Donny Schatz, who has won the Summer Nationals in two of the last three seasons, charged from 18th to finish seventh in the opener at Williams Grove in May and started on the pole in the finale and was battling for the lead when he was caught up in a very hard first lap accident going into turn three that ended his night. The four-time and defending series champion has 15 career wins at Williams Grove Speedway dating back to 2000.
Steve Kinser, who kicked off the "Month of Money" with a win in the Kings Royal last Saturday night, has nearly 40 career wins at Williams Grove Speedway with the World of Outlaws. The 20-time series champion charged from 25th to 10th in the opener at the track in May and then came all the way from 25th to fifth in the finale. He has won five times this season as he chases his record 21st title.
Joey Saldana, who leads the World of Outlaws into Williams Grove Speedway, ran very strong in the spring at the track finishing second and fourth, after setting fast time in the opener and qualifying fourth in the finale. The second generation driver leads the series with 10 A-Feature wins this season, including the finale of the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Twin 30's on Tuesday night at Lernerville Speedway.
The World of Outlaws first competed at Williams Grove Speedway in 1978, with 26 drivers picking up a win over that span with Kinser and Schatz on top of that list.
The Buzz:
· The Pennsylvania Posse has won six consecutive races against the World of Outlaws at William Grove Speedway dating back to a sweep of all four races last season, making it the longest ever win streak during the rivalry.
· Steve Kinser passed more cars than any other driver in the spring at Williams Grove, coming from 25th to 10th in the opener and 25th to fifth in the finale to earn the KSE Racing Products Hard Charger Award both night.
· Donny Schatz has finished eighth or better in 16 of his last 17 starts at Williams Grove Speedway, scoring six wins during that span.
· Jason Meyers, who has won seven times this season, is looking for his first career win at Williams Grove Speedway. The California native has 17 Top-10 finishes with the series at the track.
· Joey Saldana has won once with the World of Outlaws at Williams Grove Speedway, with that coming in a preliminary feature in 2002. He has finished seventh or better in four straight starts at the track.
· Danny Lasoski has a couple of career wins with the World of Outlaws at Williams Grove Speedway to go along with nearly 50 Top-10 finishes. The 2001 series champion is looking for his first win of the 2010 campaign.
· Craig Dollansky has won a couple of preliminary features with the World of Outlaws at Williams Grove during his career and has over 20 Top-10 finishes at the track.
· Lucas Wolfe finished fourth in the opener for the World of Outlaws at Williams Grove back in May and was victorious earlier this season in a weekly show at his home track.
· Sam Hafertepe Jr. led 15 laps at Williams Grove on May 14 en route to a career-best second-place finish, as he continues to seek his first World of Outlaws A-Feature win.
· Ben Gregg and Toni Lutar, who are both contenders for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award this season, made their first-ever trips to Williams Grove Speedway back in May.

Previewing the Summer Nationals at Williams Grove Speedway

Mechanicsburg, PA--July 22, 2010- In the sprint car world, there is not much that is more intense than a trip to the famed Williams Grove Speedway in Pennsylvania, especially for World of Outlaws drivers. With the track itself being one of the most challenging on the circuit, along with the level of competition

always at its peak, in addition to the rivalry with the Pennsylvania Posse alive and well, drivers have to be on their game every time they turn a wheel on the historic half-mile.
Another chapter will be written in the storied rivalry between the World of Outlaws and the Pennsylvania Posse this weekend, as the series makes its second visit of the season to Williams Grove Speedway for the annual Summer Nationals on Friday, July 23 and Saturday, July 24, with $20,000 awaiting the winner of the finale as the "Month of Money" continues.
Chad Layton and Fred Rahmer split wins at Williams Grove earlier this season when the World of Outlaws made a stop at the track in May, to extend the Pennsylvania Posse's win streak to six. Layton battled Kraig Kinser in the opener, trading the lead a couple of times. In the finale, Brian Leppo led early, before Sam Hafertepe Jr. took the top spot. Rahmer used a strong restart with five laps remaining to move into third and swept around the Top-Two coming to the white flag, after lining up 24th in the field.

Weedsport, NY - July 22, 2010 - Super DIRTcar Series point chasers get a much deserved two week break from tour competition while Hoosier Tire-VP Racing Fuels Mr. DIRTcar Championship contenders in the 358-Modified, Sportsman Modified and Pro Stock ranks get a much longer time off.
Two wins and a pair of seconds by Matt Sheppard during a six-day stretch vaulted the Waterloo, N.Y. driver to the top of the SDS points chart for the second time this season, leaving Billy Decker and Jimmy Phelps tied for second following All-Star Week in Central New York and the 'Great Canadian Tour' of Quebec at autodromes Granby and Drummond. A return to Canada and Merrittville Speedway in the province of Ontario highlights the next Series stop when the 18th Annual Bob St. Amand Sr. Memorial 100 takes center stage Aug. 2.
While Dave Marcuccilli captured the 'All-Star 30' Sportsman title event at Cayuga County Fair Speedway last weekend, a fourth-place tally by Ransomville's Ryan Susice extended his lead over top challengers Steve Gray (3rd at CCFS) and Tim Sears Jr. (2nd). The talented trio gets back on track for rounds number four, five and six at Ransomville Speedway, Merrittville Speedway and Humberstone Speedway, Sept. 10-12.
Two races into the 2010 tour, American Danny Johnson leads past Mr. DIRTcar champions Pete Bicknell from St. Catharines, Ont. and Mario Clair from St-Edmond, Que. as they await the return to Series action the first weekend of September at Cornwall Motor Speedway.
Pro Stockers resume activity in late August and points leader Louie Jackson is looking to put his hometrack advantage to good use when Mohawk Int'l Raceway doubles up with a World of Outlaws Late Model Series stop on Aug. 21.
The season-long regional point chases continue around the DIRTcar Northeast circuit as open-wheel teams gear up for the second half of the 2010 campaign. A note that any competitor not purchasing a DIRTcar License by the July 15 cut-off date has been dropped from all weekly point tabulations.
'Super Matt' Sheppard's recent success has elevated the second-generation standout into a tie with Jimmy Phelps in the Central Region standings, as Sheppard is now listed highest with 12 wins and Phelps is right behind with 11. All-time DIRTcar NE Modified winner Brett Hearn tops the Eastern Region points chart while perennial BRP title contender Jeremiah Shingledecker, who ventured north for All-Star Weekend II in Weedsport, continues to set the pace out West.
The Small-Block ranks have shown the most stability during the year with Tim O'Brien heading the DIRTcar 358-Modified Northern Region point standings and Pete Bicknell topping the Western Region chart. Stephane LaFrance has used a division-high seven wins to close the gap on O'Brien while Bicknell remains in command ahead of Chad Brachmann, the only other regional leader in the Niagara Frontier this season.
Enjoying his most productive year to date, Sportsman sensation Chris Raabe has locked up at least a share of the Northern division points crown with a DIRTcar NE best count of 19 feature wins. Tony Farone leads D.J. Brundige in the Eastern standings while top touring prospects Ryan Susice (Western) and Steve Gray (Central) in the overall Hoosier-VP Racing Fuels Mr. DIRTcar Championship set the pace in their own weekend title bids.

DIRTcar Racing Northeast main office is located in Weedsport, New York on the Cayuga County Fairgrounds, home of DIRTcar All-Star Weekend in July. DIRTcar Northeast's crown jewel event ---Super DIRT Week at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse runs annually in October featuring Hoosier Tire-VP Racing Fuels Mr. DIRTcar Championship Series events for Big-Block Modified, 358-Modified, Sportsman and Pro Stock divisions. Ticket and schedule information is available by contacting the Weedsport office (315/834-6606) during the day or logging into www.allstar100weekend.com and www.superdirtweekonline.com anytime.

year. He leads the series in laps led, as well as money earned and is tied with Steve Kinser for the most Top-Five finishes on the circuit.
“They have built us a great tire and are doing a great job," shared the second generation driver when asked about Goodyear. "They just really got back into the sport with how long they had been gone. I think everything has been great. Goodyear is doing a great job and I appreciate their point fund. Hopefully we can win the whole deal at the end of the year."
Saldana currently holds a 25-point lead over 20-time series champion Steve Kinser, as he chases his first series title. The native of Brownsburg, Indiana finished second in points in 2007 and has been third twice in his World of Outlaws career. In the 30-plus year history of the series, only seven drivers have won titles, with Steve Kinser leading the way with 20, Donny Schatz with four, Sammy Swindell with three, Mark Kinser with two, while Dave Blaney, Bobby Davis Jr. and Danny Lasoski each have one title.
Saldana has led the World of Outlaws championship standings for longer than any of the other three drivers that have sat atop the leader board this season, holding the top spot for a total of 28 races, despite suffering a significant hand injury back in March that required extensive surgery. There have already been eight lead changes at the top of the standings this season through the first 40 races.
"I've never really been in this position or in the position where I've had a legitimate shot at the championship," explained Saldana. "We'll just keep doing what we are doing. We are winning races, though when we are not winning, we are having terrible nights. The thing that is saving us right now is that we have won a lot of races and more than the next guys in points. We can't fall out of races to stay in this thing. We'll definitely keep working hard and hopefully we can win a championship for Kasey Kahne Racing."
Each of the drivers currently in the Top-10 in the World of Outlaws championship standings received a cash bonus from the Goodyear Mid-Season point fund, which totaled $55,000.

Concord, NC-July 22, 2010- After winning a career-high 20 A-Feature events and 21 times overall last year, Joey Saldana has one goal this season and that is to win his first World of Outlaws championship. He is halfway to achieving that feat, as a very strong first half of the 2010 season has him on top of the series championship standings on the strength of 10 wins along with 25 Top-Five finishes and 30 Top-10's. For his efforts through the first half of the 2010 campaign, Saldana was named the Goodyear Mid-Season Champion on Tuesday night at Lernerville Speedway, collecting $10,000 for being on top of the standings.
"It feels pretty good to pick up this bonus," said Saldana. "I think it's awesome that Goodyear is putting up the money and did something like this. It's great that Goodyear stepped up and wanted to be part of our series. That in itself is huge for the World of Outlaws that Goodyear wanted to be involved with the series. To have them give us a Mid-Season point fund is great."
Saldana quickly got up to speed with the new tires from Goodyear this season, finishing eighth or better in each of the first eight races of the season and taking the point lead for the first time following the fifth race of the

CAR LOAD NIGHT OF STOCK CAR RACING
ACTION AND FULL CONTACT RACING ON TAP SATURDAY NIGHT AT CFS

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 22, 2010) - A teenage rookie in NASCAR open-wheel racing has parlayed small-track experience into big track talent.
Matt Galko, 16, of Meriden, Conn., is leading in the NASCAR Finalist Division III standings and leading in the SK Light Modified Division at Stafford (Conn.) Motor Speedway. He is in his first year of racing full-sized cars on fast half-mile asphalt track. He has two wins, eight top fives and 11 top 10s in 13 starts.
The new NASCAR Finalist national recognition program focuses on the divisions outside of the Feature Division at each NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track. Points are kept separately for dirt and asphalt tracks. A NASCAR-licensed driver's best 14 finishes are counted toward their final points total for the year.
Each track in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series designates its top division as its Feature Division, and assigns its remaining divisions a designation of II, III, IV or V. The Finalist Program was established this season to recognize the drivers in those latter divisions.
In addition to Galko, other NASCAR asphalt division leaders include Division II Derek Stoltz, Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, N.C.; Division IV, Ken Cassidy Jr., Waterford Speedbowl; and Division V, Doug Schmitz, Raceway Park.
Dirt track NASCAR Finalist Division leaders entering this weekend include Division II Jesse Sobbing, I-80 Speedway, Greenwood, Neb.; Division III, Brad Derry, I-80 Speedway; Division IV, Joe Baker, I-80 Speedway; and Division V, Andy Wilkinson, Junction Motor Speedway, McCool Junction, Neb.

Galko developed his open wheel skills for half of his young life. He began racing Quarter Midgets on pavement at age 8, and last year switched to racing in Micro Sprints on dirt. The door to NASCAR racing opened this year when team owner Tim Rowe offered Galko a ride in his SK Light Modified at Stafford.
“Tim had seen me race in Quarter-Midgets, and he needed a driver for his SK Modified when his driver retired,” Galko said. “He and some other guys rented the (Stafford) track two weeks before the season opener. Several guys were testing, but only one car at a time was on the track. We had about two hours of track time.”
As a driver, Galko liked the performance of the SK Light car immediately.
“I really liked it. It was the most fun I ever had driving a race car,” Galko said of his first impression of wheeling a full-size race car on a full-size track. “I liked the power and I liked the speed. The first time I hit the gas, the response was a big surprise.”
While he was comfortable in the race car alone on the track, it took a couple of weeks to get comfortable competing with others.
“I took it easy the first couple of weeks, then I got comfortable enough to work on passing on the outside. That gives us some options. We tried the outside and it worked, surprisingly.
“I think the dirt racing experience helps in learning the feel of the car and car control. I wouldn't trade that for anything. … I try to be patient and keep the car clean and be there at the end of 20 laps. There's a fine line between being patient and being aggressive.”
The driver admits his season has progressed much better than he anticipated. He scored his first career SK Light Modified feature win in his fifth start, and his second win in his 10th start.
“I didn't expect to be doing this good, and I'm definitely surprised to be leading the points. In the ninth race, we started 16th and finished second, and I enjoyed that, too.”
He said the division points leader at Stafford generally starts feature events between 10th and 15th, and feature fields are generally around 20 cars.
“I have a lot of faith in my dad (Dave) for the setup of the car. We get to the track with a base setup, and I tell him what I think the car needs for the feature. The track doesn't change a lot, but a particular day's temperature or rubber build-up can bring variations.”
Rowe's SK Light car uses a Chassis Dynamics chassis and a TA Engines prepared GM factory crate engine. The driver's father serves as crew chief and team members include his grandfather Dave Galko Sr., mother Debbie and sister Tara. Car sponsors include Davidson & Company and TSI Harley Davidson.
Galko hopes to work his way up to SK Modifieds at Stafford, and then a NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour ride. Galko is a fan of up-and-comer Bobby Santos, who has three wins in six starts and is leading the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour points standings.
Galko is preparing for an automotive-related career. He will enter his senior year at H.C. Wilcox Technical High School in Meriden, and is eyeing continuing education at Central Connecticut State University to study automotive engineering.
The NASCAR Finalist points structure is the same as the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series featured division at each track. The feature winner receives two points for every car in the feature up to 20. Second place receives two fewer points and that distribution continues through the field. Race winners receive five additional bonus points. For example, if there were 20 cars in the feature, the winner would receive 45 points, second gets 38 and third 36. If there are 15 cars the winner receives 35 points, second gets 28 and third 26.
At season's end, the top driver in each of the four asphalt and four dirt NASCAR divisions will receive invitations to the 2010 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series awards banquet December 10 in the Crown Ballroom in the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C. where they will be recognized.

Mexico City, Mexico - July 22, 2010 - Luis Diaz and Ricardo Gonzalez announced today that they will not compete this weekend at round 5 of the 2010 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron season, and that for the rest of the year they will leave the GTC category and will look to move up to an LMPC prototype in preparation for their attack on the 2011 championship.
The Mexican duo is currently in negotiations with LMPC teams and hopes to return to the track for the next round of the series which will take place August 7th at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

“It's been an interesting year for us, we started driving the Porsches which represented a steep learning curve for me and Ricardo since we had to completely adjust our driving styles. But we picked it up quickly and achieved some good results. The Alex Job Racing team did a great job and helped us adapt quickly.
Now we have a new challenge ahead with the LMPC prototypes and I am very happy to take it on. We'll be able to go back to the types of cars that I know best and that ive had great success with. It's an interesting situation for us since we won't be fighting for the championship so we'll be able to just concentrate on preparing for next year and fighting straight up for wins.”
Ricardo González
“It's been a busy few days trying to get everything organizad for the rest of the Seaton but we are very happy that this opportunity came up. My goal has always been to use this as a learning year and get to know the tracks and the series, and now I will be able to do it in a much faster car and one that drives more like the formula cars that I am used to. The opportunity to drive an LMPC prototype for the rest of the year is very important for us since it will allow us to prepare with time for 2011 and to develop the car and our driving, in a way the next races will serve as testing sessions for us for next season. We are currently finalizing details and we hope to announce our plans very soon.”

Carved Wooden 'Big Bear' Provides Unique Prize For National Tour's First-Ever Visit To Tim Bainey Sr.'s Track
CLEARFIELD, PA - July 22, 2010 - Tim Bainey Sr. and his son, Dan, are ready to welcome the World of Outlaws Late Model Series to their Central PA Speedway for the first time on Tues., July 27.
And to pique the interest of the national tour's superstar invaders, the father-and-son team will put more on the line than just the $8,000 top prize for the evening's 40-lap A-Main that kicks off the five-race Ohio-Pennsylvania Speedweek.
Now in their third season at the helm of the four-tenths-mile oval, the Baineys have turned a unique trophy presentation begun by their promotional predecessors into a post-race tradition. Every feature winner at the track receives a distinctive three-foot-tall, 50-pound wooden bear created for CPS by a local carver - a fact that all the drivers in the historic WoO LMS event's field will be well aware of when the green flag drops.
Pocketing the first-place cash is always a racer's primary objective, but earning a special keepsake trophy allows the sweet memory of a victory to linger on. Just ask Shane Clanton of Fayetteville, Ga., the lone WoO LMS regular who owns a Central PA Speedway 'Big Bear' thanks to his triumph in the track's unsanctioned 2006 Yankee Doodle 50.
“I have it sitting in the living room of the house,” said Clanton, a three-time winner on this year's WoO LMS. “It's right there next to my trophies from the World (100 at Ohio's Eldora Speedway) and the Firecracker (100 at Pennsylvania's Lernerville Speedway).”
Clanton, 34, will be part of a star-studded group of WoO LMS travelers hoping to hoist the wooden bear after Tuesday night's program, arguably the biggest dirt Late Model event in Central PA's modern dirt-racing era. Built in 1969 as a dirt track, the speedway was paved in 1986 and operated under several promoters until being shortened slightly from its half-mile size and covered with clay prior to the 2006 season.
Tim Bainey Sr., a 52-year-old who owns a Philipsburg, Pa.-based trucking company and has a long history as both a driver and car owner in local, regional and national racing levels, purchased the track before the start of the 2008 campaign. He installed his son, Dan, 29, as the speedway's director of operations and the two have combined to present a successful series of special events that will reach its zenith with the arrival of the WoO LMS.
The elder Bainey's racing background is primarily with the pavement scene - he raced Late Models on Central PA Speedway's asphalt, competed in ARCA Racing Series events at such famed tracks as Daytona, Pocono and Atlanta and in recent years fielded vehicles that his son, Tim Jr., drove in USAR ProCup Series and NASCAR Truck Series action - but he recognized the stature of the World of Outlaws brand name in the dirt-track world when Dan Bainey suggested it was time to host a show for the renowned series.
“I thought a World of Outlaws race could be huge for us and I asked my dad what he thought,” said Dan Bainey, who has served as crew chief for his father and older brother's USAR and Truck Series racing efforts over the past decade. “He was all for it. The World of Outlaws is pretty much the NASCAR of dirt, so it's a big deal to bring the series to our track.
“Ever since we announced the World of Outlaws date, it's been the talk around here. We're expected a huge crowd to come out.”
There's plenty of room for spectators at Central PA, which has a long, high set of bleachers running the length of its homestretch and a hillside drive-in section that stretches around most of the remainder of the track. The drive-in is extremely popular for its scenic view of the action, prompting “fans to start lining up in their cars early in the morning every time we have a race,” said Dan Bainey.
The racetrack, meanwhile, is “big and fast,” described Clanton. “It has a little bit of everything to make it an exciting place.”
Clanton is one of five WoO LMS regulars with experience circling Central PA Speedway's ribbon of dirt. He's joined by Chub Frank of Bear Lake, Pa. (finished second in a 2008 event after going to rear twice), Clint Smith of Senoia, Ga. (fifth in 2006 Yankee Doodle 50), 2006 tour champion Tim McCreadie of Watertown, N.Y. (17th in 2009 Yankee Doodle 50 but had to change a blown engine after a heat win) and 2009 Rookie of the Year Russell King of Bristolville, Ohio, who hasn't run a dirt Late Model at the track but does have two big-block Modified starts there.
Outlaws who will be seeing Central PA for the first time, meanwhile, are defending champion Josh Richards of Shinnston, W.Va., Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., Steve Francis of Ashland, Ky., Tim Fuller of Watertown, N.Y., Rick Eckert of York, Pa., rookie sensation Austin Hubbard of Seaford, Del., and Brent Robinson of Smithfield, Va. Rookie Jill George of Cedar Falls, Iowa, expects to miss the event because she has been invited to participate in a Roush-Fenway test/tryout.
The WoO LMS standouts will face a tough array of regional talent - none tougher than defending O'Reilly All-Star Late Model Series champion Robbie Blair of Titusville, Pa., who is undefeated in four 2010 appearances at Central PA. He owns victories in All-Star events on May 30, July 2 and July 3 as well as an unsanctioned event on June 20.
Other drivers expected to enter Tuesday's action include Rick 'Boom' Briggs of Bear Lake, Pa., who has a pair of top-five finishes this season in All-Star competition at Central PA; Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, Pa., who finished third in the May 30 All-Star event; and Mike Knight of Ripley, N.Y.
Pit gates are scheduled to open at 3 p.m. and spectator gates at 3:30 p.m. on Tues., July 27. On-track action is set to get the green flag at 7 p.m. and will include racing for the four-cylinder division.
General admission is $26 and $12 for ages 11-15, with kids 10-and-under admitted free of charge. Pit passes will be $35.
Central PA Speedway is located just west of Clearfield, Pa., off Interstate 80.
